The TRIM motif includes three zinc binding domains, a RING, a B box type 1 and a B box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to both the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Its function has not been identified. Function: Regulator of Src-induced anchorage independent cell growth (By similarity). May have E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. Subunit: Interacts with isoform p52shc of SHC1. May form oligomers. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Mitochondrion. Note=Predominantly expressed in the cytoplasm but a fraction is associated with the mitochondria. Tissue Specificity: Up-regulated in gastric adenocarcinomas. Similarity: Belongs to the TRIM/RBCC family. Contains 1 B box-type zinc finger. Contains 1 RING-type zinc finger.
